One trade per county

Right now somebody in your county is typing “anyone know a good roofer?” into a Facebook group.

Within the hour that thread will have nine comments. Whoever gets named first usually gets the call, and it is almost never the company with the best website. It is the one a neighbor mentioned before anybody else did.

We make sure that name is yours. We watch every group in your county around the clock. We join them with our own accounts and comment with your name while the thread is still one reply deep. You answer the phone. That is the whole arrangement.

  • Exclusive to you

One company per trade per county. We will not recommend a competitor in the same groups.

  • First in the thread

We comment with your name while the job is still open.

  • Twenty conversations, or we keep working

20 qualified conversations in your first 90 days, or we keep working at no charge until you get them.

Why this channel and not another one

The conversation is already happening. You are just not in it.

Ask any contractor where their best work comes from and they will say referrals. Then ask what they spend their marketing budget on and it will be ads and lead marketplaces, which is the opposite thing. Referrals win because somebody the buyer trusts said your name out loud.

Neighborhood Facebook groups are where that now happens at scale. A county of a million and a half people has a couple of hundred active local groups, and in every one of them, several times a week, somebody asks who to call. Those threads are referrals with an audience.

The catch is that they are unpredictable and fast. You cannot staff for them and run a crew at the same time. So they get answered by whoever happened to be on their phone, which is usually not you.

One thread, start to finish

The job is usually gone within the hour

  1. 0:00

    A homeowner posts

"Anyone know a good roofer? Need someone out this week."

  2. 0:38

    We comment with your name

We comment from an account that has been in that group for months, naming your company while the thread is still open.

  3. 4:20

    A neighbor agrees

Somebody adds "we used them too". Now it is a consensus rather than a suggestion.

  4. 11:00

    The homeowner messages you

    Before any competitor has commented.

  5. 1:47:00

    Everyone else arrives

Nine more comments. The homeowner has already booked two estimates and stopped reading.

We watch every group in your county, including at 11pm on a Tuesday. First name in the thread, while the job is still open.

What we actually do

Four things we do, every day

There is no dashboard for you to learn and nothing to install. We do the work inside the groups and you get a text when it turns into something.

01

We find the groups

Every local group in your county that homeowners actually use, including the private ones that need an admin to let you in.

02

We get inside them

Using our own aged accounts with real local history. Yours is never involved and you never hand over a login.

03

We watch them all night

Every approved group, around the clock. When someone asks for your trade, we comment while the thread is still open.

04

We put your name in

A written recommendation, usually inside a minute, that answers what the homeowner actually asked about.

What this actually does

A private channel that fills the calendar

Homeowners in your county already ask their neighbors for a name. We make sure that name is yours, in every matching thread, while the job is still open.

Demand you do not create

Neighbors ask in groups they already trust. You are not buying a click or a shared lead. You are the recommendation in a conversation that was going to happen anyway.

Yours alone in that county

One company per trade per county. We will not recommend a competitor in the same groups, at any price. That is the part nobody else can sell you.

Twenty conversations, or we keep working

20 qualified conversations in your first 90 days, or we keep working at no charge until you get them. A qualified conversation means a homeowner who contacted you about real work in your trade.

The comment

Your name in the thread

We reply in the group with a recommendation that answers what they asked. Your company name, one specific detail, nothing else.

  1. 1. Read

Local roofer, wants a free estimate, needs financing, timeline is this week. Real request, not a contractor advertising. Worth answering.

  2. 2. Match

Summit Roofing does free estimates and offers financing, so both of the things she asked about get answered directly rather than glossed over.

  3. 3. Write

A neighbor voice, one specific detail, no sales language, no links. It has to read like somebody typing on their phone, because that is what it is.

  4. 4. Check

No superlatives, no invented claims, no pretending to be a past customer if we were not one.

Summit Roofing does free estimates and handles the whole insurance side if hail did the damage. They also offer payment plans. Ask for Mike.

Otomizer is drafting this now

An example, using a made-up company name. Real comments name your business and reference what you actually offer.

Exclusivity

One company per trade, per county

If you take roofing in your county, we will not take another roofer there. Not at a higher price, not next quarter, not quietly. When one of your competitors asks, we tell them it is gone and offer them the county next door.

This is also why we cannot sell this cheaply. We are turning down every other company in your trade in your market for as long as you stay.

Selective intake

We cannot take every company that applies.

Exclusivity

One company per trade per county. Signing a second roofer in the same county would put two of our clients in the same thread.

Capacity

Coverage runs on our own aged Facebook accounts, one county at a time. That capacity does not scale by turning a dial.

Fit

We only take companies that can call a homeowner back within the hour. If you cannot, this channel works against you, and we will decline.

Most large metros in Florida, Texas, Arizona and Southern California are already committed. In those markets you are applying for the next opening, and we do not put a date on that.

Applying is not a purchase and it does not reserve anything. We decline most applications, usually because the trade in that county is already committed or the company cannot get back to a homeowner fast enough for this to work.

Committed markets include Florida, Texas, Arizona, Southern California. One company per trade per county, for as long as they remain a client.

What it looks like in practice

A homeowner posts in a group of 14,000 neighbors

She is not searching Google. She is asking the people on her street, at the time of night when contractors are not looking.

A composite of how these threads run, with a made-up company name. We would rather show you the mechanism than invent a testimonial.

The arithmetic

Work out whether this pays before we speak

Every assumption is on screen and adjustable. If the numbers do not work for your county and your job value, we would genuinely rather you found that out here than three months in.

Your first month

It takes a few weeks to get properly inside

Anyone promising leads on day one is either lying or joining public groups that anyone could join. The private groups are the valuable ones and they have admins who take their time.

  1. Week 1

    We map your county

Somebody sits down and finds every local group that matters in your county: the subdivision groups, the town pages, the recommendation groups, the buy and sell groups. You get the list.

  2. Week 1 to 2

    We join them

Join requests go out from accounts that already have local history. Private groups have approval queues and admin questions, which is exactly why most of your competitors are not in them.

  3. Week 2

    We learn your business

A 30 minute call on what you actually do, what you will not do, your service area edges, financing, warranty, and how you want to be described. This is what makes the comments sound like a real recommendation.

  4. Week 3 onward

    Monitoring runs

Around the clock, every approved group. You get a text with a link when someone responds, and everything is logged in your dashboard against the original thread.

What you get

Every month, without asking

A text the moment somebody bites

Not a daily digest. A message with the homeowner, what they asked for, and a link to the thread so you can read it before you call.

A dashboard that shows the receipts

Every request we found and every comment we posted, each linked to the original post. You can check our work at any time, and clients do.

A named person, not a ticket queue

One account manager who knows your county and your business. You have their number.

A weekly summary you can actually read

What came up in your county last week, what we replied to, and anything we noticed. Under a minute to read.

Read this bit properly

When we say no

We turn down more enquiries than we take, because a recommendation that reaches a voicemail box actively damages you in that group. The homeowner comes back to the thread and says nobody called. Everybody reads it.

  • You cannot return a call within an hour during the working day.
  • Your next available estimate is a month out.
  • Calls go to a voicemail box that nobody clears.
  • You want to buy a month and see. This needs three months to be worth measuring.
  • You want us to write reviews or pose as customers. We will decline.

If any of those describe you today, fix the phone process first. It will make everything else you spend money on work better, and you can come back to us afterwards.

Pricing

Two plans. No sales dance.

The price is the price and it is on the page, because you should not have to sit through a call to find out whether you can afford this.

Questions you are probably about to ask

The awkward ones first

Is this fake reviews?

No, and the distinction matters to us. We post a recommendation naming your company in threads where somebody has asked for a recommendation. We do not claim to be a past customer, we do not invent a job we did for someone, and we do not write reviews on your Google profile. If a homeowner asks us directly how we know you, we tell them the truth.

Is my Facebook account involved?

Not at all. You never give us a password, install anything, or connect a profile. We use our own accounts, which have real history in local groups, because that is the only way to get into private neighborhood groups and stay in them. Whatever happens on our side, your business page is untouched.

How is this different from Angi or Thumbtack?

They sell the same lead to four contractors and you race to call first. Here, nobody else in your trade is in your county at all. The homeowner asked their neighbors rather than filling in a form, so they arrive warm rather than annoyed at the fourth call they have had that morning.

Will Facebook shut the groups down or ban the accounts?

Group admins remove accounts that spam, so we do not spam. We comment when somebody asks for a recommendation and stay quiet otherwise. We also run many accounts across many groups, so losing one does not take your coverage down. This is our operational risk to manage, not yours.

What if the county turns out to be quieter than you estimated?

If we are seriously considering your application, we hand-check demand in your county before making an offer. If the volume is too thin to justify coverage, we decline rather than sell you something that will not work.

What happens if it does not work?

20 qualified conversations in your first 90 days, or we keep working at no charge until you get them. A qualified conversation means a homeowner who contacted you about real work in your trade. Not a click, not an impression, not a form fill.

How long before I see anything?

Group joining takes roughly a week to ten days, because private groups have admin approval queues we cannot rush. Monitoring starts as approvals come in, so you usually see the first conversations somewhere in week two or three.

Can I try it for a month?

No. It takes two to three weeks just to get into the groups, so a one-month trial would mostly measure our onboarding. The commitment is three months, then month to month. If you want something you can switch on today, use our software instead and run it yourself.

See if we can take you on

We reply either way, usually within a week. Most applications are declined. Applying does not reserve a territory.
