Most large metros in Florida, Texas, Arizona and Southern California are already committed. In those markets you are applying for the next opening, and we do not put a date on that.

Why electricians in particular
Electrical is the quietest high-margin trade in local Facebook groups. Volume is lower than plumbing or HVAC, but the intent is unusually clean, and the mix has shifted hard toward larger projects over the last few years. Panel upgrades, EV charger installs, whole-home generators and solar-adjacent work now make up a much bigger share of what homeowners post about than the old light-fixture questions.
It is also the trade where licensing anxiety works in your favour. Homeowners are genuinely nervous about hiring an unlicensed electrician, more so than for any other trade, so they ask people they trust rather than clicking the first search result. A neighbor vouching for you in a group thread answers the exact question holding them back.

They do not all convert the same way, and they do not all need the same reply. Knowing which is which is most of the job.

A new vehicle is arriving on a known date, so there is a deadline and a decision. Usually pairs with a panel capacity question, which turns a small install into a larger job.

Timing
Electrical threads move slower than plumbing, which sounds like it makes speed less important. It does the opposite: because the homeowner is taking a few days to decide, the comment that appears first gets read by everyone who joins the thread afterwards, and it accumulates agreement replies. Being first is not just about the original poster, it is about owning the top of a thread that thirty other neighbors will scroll past.
Seasonality
Storm and outage events drive generator demand for six to eight weeks afterwards, and the effect is regional rather than seasonal. EV charger requests cluster around new model deliveries and tax credit deadlines. Panel upgrades follow the home sale cycle, which means spring and early summer. We adjust which post patterns we prioritise in your county as those cycles move.

Electrical questions
