Comparison
On Thumbtack you compete for position against other pros in your market and pay for each contact you receive. Otomizer Local removes the competition entirely by selling one company per trade per county, and charges the same flat fee whatever the volume looks like.
The core problem
The trouble with any marketplace where position is bought is that your competitors can always respond by paying more. If you find a profitable setting, it works until the two other companies in your market find it too, and then everybody is paying more for the same number of jobs.
You also spend real management attention on it. Somebody has to watch spend, tune targeting, chase reviews and argue about bad contacts. For a shop running three crews that is a genuine cost even when it is not showing up on the invoice.
Exclusive territory removes the auction from the equation. There is no bid to lose because there is nobody to lose it to. The fee is the fee, and your competitor's budget is irrelevant because we will not sell them your county at any price.
Side by side
Platform mechanics change often, so treat anything here about Thumbtack as a general description rather than current pricing.

|---|---|---|
| How you get in front of a homeowner | We recommend you in the thread where they asked. | You are one of several pros surfaced against a submitted request. |
| What determines your position | Exclusivity. There is no other company in your trade in your county. | Bidding, profile strength and review volume relative to other pros. |
| Who does the work of responding | We do. You get a text once a homeowner engages. | You or your office, in competition on response time. |
| What a quiet month costs | $1,200, the same as a busy one. | Less, since you only pay when contacts come through. |
| What a busy month costs | $1,200, the same as a quiet one. | More, and it scales with the volume you receive. |
| Reviews and profile maintenance | Not required. Your reputation lives with you, not on a platform. | Central to how often you get surfaced. |
| Where the demand comes from | Private and public Facebook groups in your county. | Homeowners who came to the platform to find a pro. |
| Setup | $1,500 one time, then two to three weeks of group joining. | Profile creation, then immediate. |
Where the demand sits
The person posting in their subdivision group at nine at night is not comparison shopping. They want one name from somebody nearby who has used the company. Plenty of them would never think to open a marketplace app at all.
That means this is mostly additive rather than a swap. You are not moving the same demand from one channel to another, you are reaching requests that currently go to whichever competitor happens to have a neighbor in the group.
It is also more durable. Platform algorithms change and reset everybody's position overnight. Neighborhood groups have been working the same way for a decade because they are just people asking each other questions.

Questions
For a contractor running a steady book, yes. Our fee is flat every month regardless of how many homeowners reach out, where bidding platforms charge more as volume rises. Compare your current spend across a genuinely busy month, not just a quiet one, and the flat figure usually wins.
It helps, because homeowners often check a company after seeing the recommendation. But you are not ranked by review count the way you are on a platform. A shop with twelve genuine reviews and a real local presence does fine here, where it would struggle to get surfaced on a marketplace.
Ask. The eight trades we publish are the ones where we have enough operating history to quote confidently. We have run others, and if the request volume in your county supports it we will take it on. If it does not, we will say so.
Two to three weeks of setup while our accounts get approved into your county groups, then it runs continuously from there. That onboarding window is why the initial term is three months rather than one, so you see a full ramp before judging results.
20 qualified conversations in your first 90 days, or we keep working at no charge until you get them.
We review applications in batches. Most are declined. Applying does not reserve a territory.
