Comparison

The Angi Leads alternative that nobody else in your county can buy

Angi and HomeAdvisor sell the same homeowner request to several contractors, so you are buying a place in a race. Otomizer Local sells one company per trade per county and puts your name into the Facebook thread where the homeowner asked, before any form gets filled in.

The structural difference

A marketplace has to resell the same request

This is not a criticism of how those businesses are run, it is arithmetic. A marketplace earns per contact it distributes, so selling one request to four contractors earns four times as much as selling it to one. Every incentive in the model points at sharing, and no amount of dashboard improvement changes that.

Which is why the experience is so consistent across trades and markets. The request lands, three other companies get it at the same moment, and the outcome is decided mostly by who happened to be holding their phone. Contractors respond by hiring somebody to dial faster, which raises everybody's cost and changes nothing about who eventually wins.

The exclusivity we sell is not a feature bolted onto the same model. It is the model. We can only ever have one roofing client in your county because our people are physically writing comments in your county's groups, and they cannot recommend two roofers in the same thread without both looking ridiculous.

Who else gets the same homeowner Nobody. One company per trade per county. Typically three to five contractors receive the same request.
What you pay for Coverage of a county for a flat monthly fee. Each individual lead, whether or not it turns out to be real.
Cost predictability The same every month, regardless of volume. Varies with volume, and a busy month costs more.
Bad and duplicate contacts You see the original post, so you can judge before calling. Credit requests, subject to review and approval.
Where the homeowner is in their decision Asking neighbors, usually before they have contacted anybody. Submitted a form, often to several platforms at once.
Speed pressure on your office You are the recommendation in the thread before you call. Whoever dials first tends to win the job.
What happens when you pause Coverage ends when your term ends. Volume stops immediately.
Cost at eight opportunities a month $1,200 flat Varies by trade and market, commonly several hundred dollars each

Timing

We meet the homeowner one step earlier

A homeowner filling in a marketplace form has already decided to shop around and expects to be called by several companies. They have their guard up before your phone even rings.

A homeowner asking their neighborhood group has not decided anything yet. They want one name from somebody they trust. If that name is yours, and it appears with a specific reason underneath it, you are frequently the only company they call.

That is the whole argument for this channel. Not that it is cheaper, and not that the volume is higher, but that you arrive before the comparison starts rather than in the middle of it.

Call Riverbend Air. They do same-day for no-cool calls and will tell you on the phone if it is just a capacitor.

Who this is built for

One county, one company, steady volume

Otomizer Local is priced for contractors who want a real pipeline every month, not an occasional contact. We qualify every county on the check before you pay, so you see the actual group count and request volume for your trade before committing.

You need to be able to answer the phone within a few hours, because that is what turns a group recommendation into a booked job. That is the whole requirement. Everything else, our software and our team handle.

Questions

Asked by contractors switching over

Is Otomizer Local cheaper than Angi?

Once you want more than a handful of contacts a month, yes, because our fee is flat regardless of volume. Angi charges per lead, so the bill grows with demand. Otomizer Local is built for contractors who want steady volume without an open-ended spend line.

Can I run both at the same time?

Yes, and several of our clients do exactly that. They are different channels reaching people at different moments. Somebody filling in a form on a marketplace has already decided to shop around. Somebody asking their neighborhood group is usually at an earlier point and has not contacted anybody yet.

What is the actual difference in the homeowner?

On a marketplace, the homeowner opted into being contacted by several companies and expects a stack of calls. In a Facebook group, they asked their neighbors and expect a name. Arriving as a recommendation from within the group is a different conversation to arriving as the fourth cold call of the afternoon.

Do you guarantee volume the way a lead platform does?

We guarantee conversations, not lead counts. 20 qualified conversations in your first 90 days, or we keep working at no charge until you get them. We would rather be accountable for whether homeowners actually talked to you than for how many rows we managed to put in a dashboard.
